Yum! today's problem I find terribly excruciating..... Hear me out
I have Ubuntu 12.10 installed on my Dell Inspiron, all my important data is on that machine
Now when ever I log into my admin account, immediately afterwards the purple login is still there Frozen few minutes pass, 30 minutes pass
but still nothing has changed
I researched this problem some say:
1. reconfigure lightdm (login manager) change it to gdm
http://askubuntu.com/questions/223501/ubuntu-12-10-gets-stuck-in-a-login-loop
That didn't help, using gdm instead of lightdm produced a black screen, progress right, Wrong
2. Then it must be a gpu problem, I use bumblebee 3.0 (Nvidia GT 540M)
I tried to uninstall Bumblebee 3.0, its done using
sudo apt-get purge bumblebee
I reboot login no effect
btw login the guest account *works
Problem:
Login in my admin account on Ubuntu is Frozen
Find a solution besides Reinstalling Ubuntu 12.10 on my laptop :)
All is heard?
