sudo apt-get install ndiswrapper and there is a GUI front end called ndisgtk or something search in Google I'm sure you'll find it. Then just provide the windows driver to the GUI p when asked
http://packages.ubuntu.com/raring/ndisgtk. You might want to try mint pretty sure its included by default and its ubuntu based

You have a wired connection that works? My bad just looks like you sudo apt-get install ndisgtk https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper.

i have a wired connection through my phone so internets not a problem but when i say yes to download the extra packages it then asks for the "Ubuntu 11.04 _Natty Narwhal_ - Release i386 (20110427.1)' in the drive ‘/media/cdrom/’ " and press enter but i have no cd

May be it's a better idea to get a newer release of Ubuntu instead and see if it works better? Ubuntu 11.10 ends next month (May 9, 2013).
