Hi there.
I've recently upgraded to 12.10 and I've noticed that when I minimise back to the launch bar, there is no indication that the program has been minimised. It doesn't matter what it is (Firefox, Thunderbird, Home Folder, LibreOffice etc), I have the same problem. I have a bad memory to say the least and find it frustrating at times.
There is a little arrow when I have the program open, which is fine but when minimised, there is nothing.
Can anybody help please?

Try reseting unity , I dont't think you will neeed the compiz commands . http://www.webupd8.org/2012/10/how-to-reset-compiz-and-unity-in-ubuntu.html

Appreciate your help but there has been no change. Does anybody else have the same problem? Or is this a bug in 12.10?

Sorry, I feel like a clutz! The horizontal layout of my monitor was out of alignment and the left arrow was not visible on my screen. This must have happened when I upgraded from 12.04 to 12.10. Case closed!
