Anyone know how I can solve this problem please ?
Apologies if this is a noob question, but only been using xubuntu for a few days.
I've had a search around the forum, tried a few options but nothing worked.
I still get the same errors:

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Any advice will be much appreciated and well received. (Please don't tell me to go back to Windows);)

Open update manager, click on settings, software sources window appears, in the other software tab, you unmark CD-rom, then close and try to update again.
