The Viewsonic Gtablet to be more precise.

I've seen other editions of Ubuntu ported to it, (but not sure how well it works) Was just wondering if anybody currently has a project going to try and get it working on the Gtablet?

Are you SURE you saw Ubuntu on it? That tablet falls short by a lot below the BARE MINIMAL requirements for Ubuntu tablet or even Ubuntu Desktop ARM Build for that matter. Ubuntu needs a Quad Core A15 and a minimum of 1GB of ram to run on a tablet. Also the Tegra graphics are unsupported so no hardware acceleration. So no, nobody is working on it as Ubuntu just won't run very well on it.

Yes, there are actually more than a few videos out.there with it working on the tablet. So hopefully there are some people working on it. Especially since android itself is base on Ubuntu.

No.... Android is based off Linux, not Ubuntu. Android is in fact a separate distro from Ubuntu. Both use Linux at their core, but are different.

Anyways, all those videos I looked up show really old versions of Ubuntu or derivatives like Xubuntu. Modern Ubuntu will not run. The tablet is far too weak to run say Ubuntu 12.04 or newer.
