I recently updated Ubuntu on my netbook. When rebooting it got stuck at a minimal bash like line editing thing. prop was grub> . I tried simply boot. it said no loaded kernel. after loading a kernel, and most other stuff it told me to do at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2#Reinstalling%20GRUB%202, i got past the screen thinking finally! my joy was shortlived, the next error occured, initramfs w/ busybox. I cant get past this. so i make a live usb to go round. when trying w/out installing it says general error mounting filesystems. amaintenance shell will now be started ctrl d will reboot. bash: groups: command not found. root@ubuntu:~#. when booting to first hard disk, it gets me back to initframs. could someone tell me how to get to my other windows operating system and restore my computer to factory settings. I am trying to run ubuntu 12.04 lts. please help!
