I've got a Sony Laptop running Windows Vista. I loaded a USB with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. I did not install Ubuntu anywhere in the laptop's hard drive. I just ran Ubuntu from the USB. Now whenever I try to boot from Vista, I get the Vista loading screen with the progress bar, and then it just hangs there. After a while, the laptop starts up the boot repair tool and after running a diagnosis, but it can't identify the root problem. Has anyone had a similar problem and would like to offer some help?
