ubuntu 12.10 and lubuntu 12.10 problem

i have ubuntu 12.10 in my computer but i want to install lubuntu 12.10 as a replacement
but when i installed lubuntu there are no option to fully remove ubuntu

there are only these options

remove ubuntu and reinstall
install lubuntu along side of ubuntu

i doesn't seem to display the

erase disk and install lubuntu why is that?
please help

The "remove ubuntu and reinstall" is the correct option. Because in a sense you are reinstalling Ubuntu, but with the LXDE desktop.
