I am on Ubuntu 12.10, and I installed KDE on top. I have a strange issue, all my widgets on my laptop screen are transparent, where all the widgets on my external monitor are not. I would like all the widgets to behave as they do on my external monitor. Below is a screenshot of my dashboard, the dashboard on the right is the laptop.

Any ideas why they would be behaving differently?

Edit: What I just realized is that the widgets on the laptop screen are not affected by the Desktop them that I select.
Why is that?
