Hi, new to ubuntu, but read, on a computer forum I access, that ubuntu OS was one of the best so I downloads the 12.10 on a zip drive and set my compter to boot from flash. When computer booted I got a screen that has data with eight columns. At the bottom it reads: "AMD Data Change...Update New Data to DMI!_ . The underline is flashing. But the computer will do nothing else. It just sits there. I tried entering y on the flashing underline, nothing happens.

The computer I am trying to install ubuntu on is an Acer Aspire AX1300 running Vista. How can I get ubuntu to install from the flash. Thanks.
