Install problems

This is on a new dell desktop 8500 XPS. Having problems getting Ubuntu to boot from hard drive. Need help with bios settings I think.

did it boot the ubuntu cd or usb and fail the install?
hard drives are normality in every boot order so I am trying to figure out if the install failed or of you have a true boot issue

Hey thanks. No the live cd is not booting at all.

right after pushing the power button the fist screen should appear hit the F12 it should bring up a one time boot menu that you can pick cd/dvd or usb or hard disk to boot from. If that fails you may have a unbootable cd/usb ubuntu device:)
