View Full Version : [other] Suggested GPU Cooling for Nvidia GTX580

Current hardwares:

Case:

CPU Cooling:
http://www.corsair.com/us/hydro-series-h70-core-high-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler.html

Intention: Looking for another hydro cooling for the GPU. Given the built of the case, there is really one slot, i.e. a 120mm fan slot, for a custom installation, I am wondering what other alternative arrangement could allow for another hydro cooling (with its fan) for the existing setup.

Is there a hydro cooling system that can make use of the current pc case from DVD slot area for the fan installation?

Another alternative that maybe possible is having a dual heat sink that shares one fan:
http://www.asetek.com/desktop/gpu-a-combo-coolers/760gc.html The downside is to forfeit the existing CPU hydro cooling, which is a waste because there is nothing wrong with it so far, and it was bought with good money.

Essentially, is there a hydro cooling for GPU Nvidia GTX 580 where the fan can be mounted to the front area of the case (where the DVD slot is located)?

Also on that note, is there a good recommendation on thermal paste for cpu/gpu?

I apologise for posting in the wrong section, however, I believe I have posted in the "more" relevant sections. Please feel free to move my thread to the more appropriate one.

Thank you in advance.

You could always mount the rad inside the case. Not the most efficient, but it'll work.

Here is my setup:
