Ubuntu operating system for LG TVs?

I have seen on youtube some guys showing Linux on tv's.

they are using a specific kernel:

Would you know if Ubuntu could or will be released to be installed on TV too?

I would say that the answer is NO. It may be possible in the future to buy a smart TV and find that it has a user interface that is just like Unity on our desktop PCs and smart phones and tablets. But a Ubuntu image that can be downloaded and installed on a TV? NO. Canonical is clearly not intending to do that.
