Hi,

I'm going to put together my own PC soon. I do not want to buy a dedicated video card because of several reasons: I only need it to run gnome-shell. I only use open source drivers. I like and trust the Intel drivers.
Since I would like to use three monitors (at least occasionally) with my computer I spent the last couple of days searching for a motherboard that provides two display port connectors which is apparently necessary in order to use three screens with Intel HD4000 graphics.
The only "main stream" (i.e. not some fancy low volume embedded) motherboard I could find that provides such an output was the GA-Z77X-UP4 TH through its Thunderbolt connectors which are apparently Minidisplayports with added PCIe lines.

Now I am wondering: Has anyone every tried connecting a DP monitor to the GA-Z77X-UP4 TH under Linux? Or maybe to a different mainboard that sports a Thunderbolt connector?
