I've managed to make a 16Gb memory stick dual boot with XUbuntu and EdUbuntu.
I followed the thread HOW TO Avoid Wubi & Install Ubuntu on USB Drive (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1650699) and used LiLiUSB.
The XUbuntu was because I like it, and want to used it sometimes on my laptop (it's on an old desktop as well). I need M$ so couldn't remove it.
People suggested I try EdUbuntu for a project I hope to be involved in with youngsters during the summer holidays. EdUbuntu looks good - like the 4 desktops. Need to try other things out before I commit myself to it.
