Hi again! Here I have another problem to fix... (Sorry for not being very helpful with others' threads, I'm just not experienced enough to be much help.) I just updated the kernel (normal update), and my computer can't boot properly with the kernel 3.5.0-26, and I have to boot from 3.5.0-25 for it to work. Am I the only one with this problem? I tried to reinstall all my kernels and kernel headers, but it didn't solve it and I had to change Grub so it boots from the -25 version instead. Thanks for anyone who can help.

explain clearly the issue: what do you mean exactly by "cant boot properly" ?
which errors do you get ?
which errors are logged into /var/log/dmesg ?

Hi there. I'm really sorry I didn't give more details in my initial post, my mother recently passed away (the day before I wrote that) and I was pretty busy with my family. Here's an update on the problem, which is still not fixed. At first, I just went around it by booting using kernel version 3.5.0-25 instead of 3.5.0-26. But today, I rebooted using the same settings as usual, and guess what? Same thing happened. I'm now running on 3.5.0-24, and I really have to figure it out before it does the same on all my versions of the kernel! I took a picture of my screen, and here's what it was showing when it stopped booting:

http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/3834/errorud.jpg (http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/3834/errorud.jpg)

Sorry I have to ask for help again, but I have no idea what the problem can be, and I'd hate to reinstall everything, especially since this might occur again. And sorry one more time for not being present, my family needed me more.

Just fixed the problem by reinstalling Bumblebee and the Nvidia driver, which bbswitch is part of (Bumblebee). Just noticed how bbswitch appeared often on the error message. Bumblebee/Nvidia messing everything up again... Hum... Anyway. Now everything works fine with all versions of the kernel, that I also reinstalled.

Even if it's fixed, I'd like if someone could point me out some resources to understand these messages better.
