Showing hidden files in desktop folder views

Hey guys,
I installed the KDE desktop on ubuntu 12.04, and I love it, except I can't seem to find the setting to allow those desktop panels to show hidden files.
I figured out how to do it in dolphin fairly easily, but can't find out how to make it show hidden files right on the desktop. I would like to be able to view the hidden files on my home folder by default.

Anyone know how to help me out?

Hi Rob

When you browse to the folder you want to show hidden files in hit Ctrl + H that should toggle between hidden files.
