Do you recommend to update all important security updates, recommend updates and also the unsupported updates?

Is it fine if I won't update? cause I'm afraid that updates can cause problem.

Am I secured enough if I don't update the security updates?

I'm using ubuntu 12.04 and no problem encountered yet...

I recommend that you research what all the updates are and what for, so that you can best assess how they affect you or your system especially if it is a production system.

Updates are not a requirement, they often bring security and operational fixes of course, but remember the updates are the future vulnerabilities and issues that need patching later ;-)

Read the changelogs and updates and research them before applying, or at least have a easily resumable backup or clone in the event something breaks.

Peace

Next to no problems with updates. A bad habit I admit, but I don't even bother to look at whats being updated anymore.

EDIT: I do watch that I am not being offered a "partial upgrade".
