Hey Ubuntu Community.

I recently upgraded to 12.04 lt's (i know a bit late) but when i did i noticed that the graphics resolution had been taken down a notch on my computer, i searched the net for a fix but on all the forums it required you to put your information to see what the problem is because there is a couple of things that are causing it. atm when i go into the screen resolution it is in 1024x768 which i know is not the best. I am not sure what to do here so i just put my system info for this machine. Its telling me that my graphics card is some sort of sandybrige but i have a nividia which it must not be picking it up.

15.5 GiB
Intel® Core™ i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz × 4
VESA: Intel®Sandybridge Mobile Graphics ( I actually have a nividia gt 520m graphics card )
64 bit
disk space for ubuntu is 30gb

Would I be right in assuming you went under the "display" option and tried to adjust your resolution from there?

I tried that but it is either giving me the same resolution and or a lower one, My problem is that its not recinising nividia graphics cards
