The "vs" shouldn't be necessary (though I prefer the first).

"U never got a second chance to make a first impression" (sic) only matters to people who judge a book by the cover.

"U" instead of "You" speaks volumes.

My bet is 1:1 in the half-time.

On a serious note, you have elaborate your question if you want (even) better/more relevant responses. ;)

... if you want meaningful responses. ;)
I think my response was pretty meaningful ... :-(

Yes, indeed. I've edited my post.

Yeh, like Deep Thought's Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything

On the other hand, I have time; I can wait 10 million years to find out what the question was. :)

Life is short; nobody has time to find out what's inside everyone, even if it is what actually matters.

Life is too short to make snap judgments.

Life is too short to make snap judgments.

Not true; I just made a couple of them, and I still have time to eat some snack crackers and make a few posts before going to bed. :D

As an existentialist, I know that existence comes before essence. Hence, each person's world is purely a manifestation of the conditions of his existence.

Take for instance, the expression "Is your glass half-full or half-empty?"

For me, my glass is neither half-full nor half-empty. It simply contains a measure of water equal to 50% of its nominal maximum volume.

This is a question that sits fine in a contrived environment.

In the real world we have chaos - an infinite number of possible 'meeting' scenarios.
Where the first impression is gained from a momentary glance across a crowded room, to a workspace environment where meeting is thereafter constant.

If you see somebody that doesn't fit your bill, then you're not gonna seek them out.
If you work with them you're gonna get to know if like them or not.

So the required answer to the question changes, depending upon the environment, whether you match your presentation to the other parties desires, and whether you actually have inside you, what they are looking for.

But the real word answer, in most cases, is that after making a good first impression...... you've still got to follow through with 'who you are'.
Exceptions will be 'the con trick' - either malicious, or simply personal advancement beyond ones abilities.

These are basic facts of life, that we're all aware of.
Therefore one doesn't need to have studied existentialism to arrive at this answer.
Through the normal interactions of life we learn this. ;)

All environments are contrived along with their answers ...

When the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

The glass is neither half full nor half empty, it is merely twice the size it currently needs to be.

If we consider job interviews, positive impressions are a must, if not it is open to debate, although, a lot of times with a wining personality, negative impressions can be turned around.

Or simply turned around.... cos you can do the job...... but you just can't lick harse (and luckily enough, they spotted that :)).
