Hi everyone,

Struggling laike hell with Ubuntu but sticking it.... I have inadvertantly lost the Libre Office Writer & Opera icons & access on the side bar launcher.

Have looked everywhere for these programs without success. I open up files & systems but they just take me further & further into the jungle & am at

my wit's end. Can someone please help me using simple English, thank you,

regards Lorganz

PS: there's another one, what is the Prefix thing above the mails?

Can you open the app by hitting the super key and typing writer into the dash?

Once it's running you can right-click on its icon and lock it to the launcher.

Wow, it worked, that is something else to add to my limited knowledge.

Thank u very much Cheesemill, appreciate you taking the time to respond:P

The launcher only contains a few of the applications installed on your system by default, you can hit SUPER+A to open the dash at the applications lense to see all of your installed apps.

For an intro on using Unity check out the official documentation...

You can also drag icons from the dash (the thing that appears when you press the Windows key) to the launcher (the bar down the left side).
