portable ubuntu

is there any procedure to make ubuntu os portable , where double click and run the ubuntu os inside the windows os , ie without booting. :confused:

maybe this is your looking for:
you can use virtualization and instead of shutting down the OS just suspend it from the virtualization program(it's mostly like hibernating).
here are two free program for virtualization
vmware player
virtualbox (i recommend this one for Ubuntu)
