Hello all,

I am a so new user of Ubuntu I still have the fresh car smell :) I am trying to install Ubuntu 12.10 on my HP Pavilion dv7 AMD quad processor laptop. It stops the install (using 'Zite's method:
Guide: How to Install Ubuntu 12.10 with newer Nvidia cards") and I get the message

[55.843189] sp5100_tco: mmio address 0xb8fe00 already in usede_amd.bin
[54.720134] microcode: failed to load file amd-ucode/microcode_amd.bin
[54.729444] microcode: failed to load file amd-ucode/microcode_amd.bin
[54.732274] microcode: failed to load file amd-ucode/microcode_amd.bin

stops at this point.

I have done a little reseach and this issue happens when Kernal updates happen, but I am just trying to get Ubuntu installed.

I have a Cyberpower desktop, amd 8 core with AMD video card and it installed with no problems.

Anyone have a clue what I can do to fix this road block?

Thanks

Richard
