I am having this problem with multiple 12.04 boxes. Whenever I download and install updates, a change log of the package appears inside the window and requires me to hit q to let the upgrade happen. It doesn't matter if I use update manager or apt-get update then apt-get upgrade. Is there any way to get this to stop? Below is one such change log.

I haven't found anything in researching this problem. Does anyone know anything to solve this?

I have same problems. Changelog messages freezes updates at 3 different machines. It maybe started when I installed missing recommends from synaptic. I found out (somewhere) that pressing Q u can get forward. Any new data? Whats wrong?

Nothing new. It still does it. I can't stop it at all. I just have to watch it now or else the update will stick until I hit Q.
