I just recently installed Ubuntu 12.10 on both my laptop (single boot) and my desktop (dual boot ssd win7, internal hdd Ubuntu).

I decided to keep Win7 for 3 apps (PSE, Roxio, and TaxAct) that I really don't want to endure the learning cure to replace right now.

I decided to take a look at Tax Act online and I was surprised that I could import my last year's desktop version data successfully.:KS

If you've used TaxAxt in the past the UI online is pretty similar to the Win desktop version

Yes..and the online version works great..i have been using Tax Act online for the past two years and will again shortly for this year's reporting...
And it always imports last years data right into the new preparation...Really no need to use the software anymore...and i always do it on my ubuntu!
