dear ubuntu experts my name is manar from Syria ,and I am new to this forum !
I am really new to ubuntu ! I am trying to use aircrack , i have heard before on the internet that ubuntu 9.10 support the atheros ar9285 chipset injection out of the box without any patches required , BUT the bad thing is that 9.10 doesn't even works on my laptop (because I have got intel media accelerator video card which can't handel 9.10 , and I am having the black screen thing during install) that's why I am trying to download now ubuntu 11.01 , so the question is , does it act the same as 9.10 and support my wireless card without any patches required ? and one more thing is , would I have that black screen problem with 11.01 also ?
thanks for your reply

It is in the repos for 9.10 and I believe it is in the repos for 10.10, however, you would be better off using BackTrack if you were going to be doing penetration testing.

http://www.backtrack-linux.org/

We do not support aircrack-ng here.
