xubuntu, thunar and "Network"

So, this has been driving me crazy for a while now.

Using XUbuntu, in the thunar file manager, the "Network" entry in the left pane regularly appears and disappears - I think it happens with certain updates, but I can't be sure.

Now, either there or not there is fine (I'd slightly prefer if it were there) but appearing and disappearing is annoying me!

Am I alone in this problem, and any ideas about solving it?

I have not seen this but I am running Thunar 1.6 with no problems in the XFCE session form the PPA. http://www.webupd8.org/2012/11/install-thunar-with-tabs-support-in.html
