After having played around with openbravo, sql-ledger, vtiger, sugarcrm, pheedom etc.
I cant seem to find a good fit with those apps for my business (5 - 10 employees, Australian based). I just cant work out which one is the best, has anyone in linux-land had any experience with them and could pass on knowage.

*admins, please move this if i got the forum area wrong*

Personally, I have no experience, but there was once an article by Jonathan Corbet of LWN fame in his Grumpy Editor series:
http://lwn.net/Articles/314577/

The article is already four years old, but there were three follow-ups last year:
http://lwn.net/Articles/496158/
http://lwn.net/Articles/501681/
http://lwn.net/Articles/516659/

The comments on LWN are also always worth reading.

invoicing/quotation

Business::

It would help , since you are possibly looking for "guidance" ,to post a profile of what the business is about , the "about" been the profile . without it no one has a clue what you are looking for.

I could surmise , till the cows come home .

Would recommend sending a quick email to the ubuntu australia mailing list as there's a few business owners on the list afaik.

At the moment we use MYOB in a windows virtualbox.
