Hello there. Im kinda new to linux and brand new to ubuntu. I want to install it but I come across this problem:

(initramfs) Unable to find a medium containing a live file system

So what happens is that it boots fine. The purple ubuntu screen loading for 10 minutes and what not, but then it just sends me to a black screen with this message. The version im trying to install is 12.04 LTS on a amd64 64 bit system. What does it mean? Does any one have an idea how to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

Am I supposed to do this before starting the installation itself?

I had the same problem just a few days ago. Was given instructions to change some file names and it seemed to solve the issue. Try it... http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=12517576
