View Full Version : Tablet/Laptop and Ubuntu?

I am looking into tablet laptop hybrid and was wondering if i could run ubuntu and still have the touch screen work. Has anyone done that? And whats a good Laptop/Tablet to buy for doing this?

If you can get Ubuntu installed on the tablet touch screen shouldn't be an issue.

afaik its getting Ubuntu installed that is the current problem yourbest bet is to look at the nexus line as the are the tablets that conical are working with all afaik

Thanks, but the nexus is just a tablet, I'm looking to get something that's a laptop tablet hybrid.
Like the yoga from levono. Something with a few usb ports and at least 4gb of ram.

Ubuntu can do both tablet and laptop, and do both probably.
Why not just give it a shot?

Laptop with a touchscreen, the only real problem with ubuntu on tablets is the arch.

Should be fine really.

well not any, as some may have an arm processor.
Best go with something with intel on it.
