Getting error after installating any new software

Hi All,

I am getting this error message after I install any software. This error message started coming after I installed super-boot-manager to change the boot screen image for Ubuntu. Well it didn't work so I unistalled the software from Ubuntu Software Center and now I am getting this error every time I install any new software. Please help me in resolving this error. The below error I got when I installed vlc on the system. Please let me know if you require any more information.

the issue is due to that theme:

plymouth-theme-mib-ubuntu

so remove it:

sudo apt-get purge plymouth-theme-*
sudo apt-get install plymouth-theme-ubuntu-logo
sudo dpkg-reconfigure plymouth

Hi Dino99,

I tried those commands but still I am getting these error messages after the software is installed. The below error I received when I installed Calibre. Please help me in getting rid of these errors everytime I install something or when I do an update.

I finally got the issue resolved using the terminal commands which you had provided.

I don't know I overlooked that * sign before and just entered the command "sudo apt-get purge plymouth-theme-" which apparently did nothing I guess but I didn't see what messages where displayed after running the command. Later on I saw that "*" sign and I thought I have to put the name of the plymouth theme which I did and then it worked awesomely.
