Halo all,
In graphic interface does not work repeating - ALL press keys.
Example: On the end of sentence I have cursor. Press and hold key Backspace. In this action delete only one character and nothing more. This problem are affected in all graphic applications.
When I switch to no graphic interface over CTRL+ALT+F1 - keys works there fine.
I have version of ubuntu 12.10
Thanks for help

Do you have 'Key presses repeat...' enabled?

I have this same problem but I don't know now to get to the window you cited. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS and have done apt-get install gnome-session-fallback to get the old Gnome GUI I know and love. I access the machine remotely through VNC and have a menu that looks like: http://flic.kr/p/dXW2QD

"System Settings", in your case directly under "Applications -> System Tools".

Thanks, I found the screen. The checkboxes were enabled and the settings seemed reasonable to me. I did adjust the delay to be shorter and when I went to a window, I was pleased that repeat seemed to be working... maybe a little too good, though. I was going to adjust the delay to be a little longer but all of the sudden key repeat seemed to stop working for me again! I tried playing with the delays some more but haven't seen it repeat at all since the first time.
