General problem: Installed / reinstalled Ubuntu 12.04 multiple times along side Window 7. Each install yields a different error. Sometimes Ubuntu can't boot, sometimes, Ubuntu terminal will not load, etc. Windows 7 boots right every time.
I'd like to determine if Ubuntu 12.04 is just not compatible with my system? Errors are random enough that I am not sure which one to look at or try to solve.
System Specs:
Laptop: Acer Aspire S3 with Intel Core i7
Primary OS: Windows 7
I have been using the following steps to reset boot loader / reclaim linux partition and reinstall each time:
http://tonsoftech.com/tech/software/remove-grub-bootloader-from-windows-7-installation/
http://tonsoftech.com/tech/software/reclaim-all-your-hard-drive-space-in-windows-7-after-removing-a-dual-boot/
Thanks, really appreciate the help. Not sure how to approach this problem. I just want a local linux programming environment to code and am really thinking about ditching it to just go to remote access on Amazon or something.
