I installed ubuntu 12.04.1 32bit on virtualbox(windows 7 64 bit host). It ran ok until I installed guest extensions after which I rebooted. When it booted up, I was greeted with a blank screen with the wallpaper still there and a transparent bar at the top. Everything else went invisible but I can still click them by guesswork.
