Hi everyone!

Here's what I want. A nice animation tool like, for example JASC Animation Shop, but native to Ubuntu/Linux.

In Short: A utility that shows all the frames, editable, on a nice little row where I can right-click them individually and set properties like frame display time and number of loops.

Now, I already HAVE a copy of JASC Animation Shop, but running it under wine is a bit clunky, although not terrible. But it's getting old, and the encoding algorithm could be better.

I'm aware of gifsicle, and it appears nice, but that's not what I'm looking for either.

Finally, I know a lot of people like the GIMP. It's very powerful, and very useful, and has all kinds of neat stuff, and I use it a lot and I HATE HATE HATE HATE IT SOOOO MUCH! It's like driving a convertible sports car that gets 100 miles per gallon, has all the features, goes from zero to 60 in 2 seconds, but the accelerator's on the dashboard and the gearshift is up your... well, anyway, I don't particularly care for it.

So what I'm looking for is simple; GUI with "timeline/filmstrip" style display of all frames in the GIF, and each frame is editable (both the properties, and the picture itself). Anyone got any good ideas? Thanks!!
