If you need a calendar for Thunderbird you can always use the Lightning plugin.

Ah... the annual email client discussion ;) (Btw, you should have added a poll to your thread... ) Usually I use Thunderbird, but when I get my new laptop I'll install Elementary OS on it, and will check out their mail client Geary.

Other than that, it's T-bird all the way!

Geary is included in the Ubuntu repos, there's no need to install Elementary to give it a try.

I run Roundcube (http://roundcube.net/) on my mail server, all of my email access is done through a browser.

Hi Eric!

Perhaps it's included in the 12.10 repos, but not in 12.04 that I'm using. However, I just added the PPA in order to check it out... https://launchpad.net/~yorba/+archive/ppa

At the moment it lacks a little in functionality, but I'll definitively follow the development of Geary closely. Hopefully it's a little more complete by the time Elementary is released... I'd love to see a more complete version of this program, as I've been looking for a snappy alternative to Thunderbird.

Are you guys working independently from the Elementary people, btw?

The "other" Mozilla suite has an e-mail client. Seamonkey came with this computer when I "inherited" it. Thunderbird is nice too, but the Seamonkey is faster.

Oh, I almost forgot: In before Recurring!

We're a completely independent non-profit. Some of the Elementary guys have contributed to Geary, and we had Dan working here out of our office for a while to tighten up the design.

I liked Foxmail on windows, it was light but very functional.

On Linux I've used webmail, gmail currently, it works for me.
