Desktop Problem

I am using ubuntu 11.10. and neither my desktop is showing the launcher nor I can use any shortcuts . Also after opening any window I can't found the minimize, maximize and close button. Please reply soon...

Compiz/Unity died somehow. Press Ctrl + Alt + T to open a terminal and type this command:

unity --reset
to reset Unity's settings and relaunch it.
