uummm unplugged asus cd drive and plugged in 40 gig hard drive,,,

well problem >>>>>>>> during ubuntu 12.04 install....

stuck with caps lock ,scroll lock flashing on keyboard, and stuck on replace windows page of install.....):P moron here, i know,,,,quit laffing,,,,do I restart? i removed hard drive....its a older hp pavillion desktop, with xp, and i dont even know how to format second hard drive

All the flashing lights is kernel panic.

Since its a fresh install why not just start over again.

Do you have the LIve CD/DVD or USB version of Ubuntu? If so you could boot into one of those, bring up GParted in Dash and reformat your hard drive and start install over again
