View Full Version : Precise/Gnome missing menu bar

The top menu bar which includes File, Edit, View is missing from certain application windows in Gnome Classic on Ubuntu 12.04.

It feels like something is trying to push that menu into the top of the screen a la unity (or MacOS) but of course there's no place in Gnome Classic for it to appear.

Can anybody tell me what might be wrong?

Thanks,

Ed G

I notice this most with an app called the Jungle Disk Server Manager.

I'm going to withdraw the question. I want to test with a Pre-Unity system. I'll download an older version of Ubuntu on USB stick, retest and repost if I can't reproduce it there.

THanks,
Ed
