Stalling installations

I have two live cd's - 11.04 and 12.10. Trying to install on a newly wiped hard drive 11.04 makes it to the welcome page partially loaded but with no mouse and with the 12.10 I get "operating system not found". Both work on the other computers with no problem. The bios is set to boot from cd. Help! Thanks

Clean out your CD drive. If its a laptop just wipe the glass laser lens with a soft cloth, if its a desktop just blow air in there.

Operating system not found is a BIOS message not an Ubuntu message.
