View Full Version : [ubuntu] Failed to fetch updates for Google Chrome

I am trying to install updates on my desktop but I get the following error:

Failed to fetch http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/pool/main/g/google-chrome-stable/google-chrome-stable_24.0.1312.52-r175374_i386.deb 404 Not Found [IP: 173.194.67.190 80]

Does anyone have a workaround for this, because it blocks the updates?

That's easy just go to the Google chrome web site using Ubuntu and click download lick on whatever bit of Ubuntu you have and save the file. After it downloads double click and Ubuntu software center will pop up. Just hit install and if it gives you a warning that the package is of bad quality just hit "ignore and install".
