I did an update recently and it broke my drivers forcing me to reinstall them. All fine and dandy it happens.
I noticed that while no drivers were installed I had this awesome Gnome-2 like shell. I am assuming it was Gnome 2D. With the Applications and Places menu and everything. Panels and it was fun to play with. I assumed this was part of the update until I rebooted and its back to Gnome Shell 3.
How do I get that awesome experience back? I cant choose it from the login menu I cant find any information pointing to it on Google (Google seems to be getting less and less useful).
Please help I desperately want the old Gnome 2 look and feel back. I don't want to install Mate as it has it's own set of issues.
