Hey people,

I am totally new ubuntu user and I have been problem installing the software FIRST (Floopy Inclusions and Rigid Structure Topography) .The software is run using the ubuntu terminal. Post extraction of the software using the tar command, it is necessary to indicate the directory where the file has been extracted by setting an enviromental variable which I have no idea of doing it. can someone please help me out. I am attaching the link to user guide of the software. Can't upload the software due to file size limitation

Looking at that pdf, the 2.1 & 2.2 section explain clearly step by step what to do and how.

so download into an empty folder the binary or source (its your choice), then cd to that folder, and follow the pdf explanation.
