I love google chrome. It is a LOT faster than firefox on my machine

but...

I have recently noticed that some webpages have serious problems with chrome. Whereas firefox works just as it should.

eg. this page:
https://easiointi.kela.fi/go_app/

Chrome says that "we are maintainng the page, sorry for inconvenience" (in finnish)

but the page works in firefox, and it transfers you to the secure identification page which is what is supposed to happen.

Similar thing happens in some other sites too. strange.

Have anyone else had similar problems with chrome?

URL took me to a security page were authentication is required. I was using Chromium though.

Interesting!

So the problem is my chrome setup then. Good to know.

Have to check what the problem is. Eg. what have I disabled in chrome, that I havn't in firefox. Hmmmm...

confusing, that the "error message" doesn't tell me to eg. enable java or something. Just that they are maintaining the site...

Thanks for the info.

Chrome also crashes on this game which is very nice when played in Firefox. :)

Just tried with Chrome v24.0.1312.56 (on Windows 7) - no crashes.

Sorry, I don't use Windows.

It might have something to do with the Nvidia card, but it works well in Firefox with both the proprietary driver and nouveau in full screen and high res(in fact can't tell the difference) but in Chrome it doesn't work with either (it works well for a while then crashes or loses audio later, with nouveau can't get to fullscreen)

Works for me on Google Chrome. Finnish? and offers to translate, but see nothing like you say about maintenance.

The game also works, but I cant escape it.

I agree with this. Chrome is kinda sluggish on ubuntu.

I am sure that is your hardware. Both FF and chrome are fast on my machines (with different specs and age, none of which is bleeding edge hardware) Chrome only gets a bit sluggish if I have many tabs open (in my 32 bit laptop which would be something like 30+ with the addon tabmemfree) while FF can support 100+ tabs without visible slow down (startup time gets slower though)
