Wouldn't Compiz nullify the high speed / low drag advantages of LXDE?

What's special about Lubuntu with Compiz? Perhaps it's even buggier then with OpenBox, or have I missed something?

I was expecting something else from this thread and if truth to be told, I'm so disappointed.
Lubuntu helped tons of people to breath life into their old machines instead of breathing dust and stay in dark.

I'm not asking for much - just read the link on the first post: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu/CommunicationsTeam/Lubuntu101

That is all.

You don't need to do anything special at all. ALL what you need to do, is to keep taking about your experience with Lubuntu. Nothing is prefect, that is for sure and everyone does know and understand that but IMHO, Lubuntu does deserve more from us.

Thanks!

I do not give advice on Lubuntu. I do not use it. So what do I know about anything Lubuntu? I did some ISO testing for Precise.

I have made a note of that page and will either use it to find information that may help a Lubuntu user with a problem or simply direct them to it.

A lot of work has gone into that documentation. Well done.

Regards.

Thanks for posting and I really hope you will try/use Lubuntu one day :)

We are keen to keep our Wiki Area up to date and it is very much safe to direct anyone with any kind of problem to our Wiki Pages starting from this: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu

As for Lubuntu 101, everything is explained on that link and I'm doing my best to have a dedicated team for this project.

You can also direct any user who has problem with Lubuntu to me and I will take care of the rest :)

Thank you so much for your nice words :)

Lubuntu is very good for old hardware and for running Ubuntu software in VirtualBox.
