So, i'm trying to set up a dual boot with Win 8. I don't know much about Linux, but I want to learn, and love to play with stuff. I attempted to partition using the utility in Windows...and it worked fine..but when I booted the ubuntu 12.1 CD I don't see that partition that I made (from shrinking my main drive). What am I missing? I'm trying with 12.10 64 bit. I really want to install this. I looked around for others asking the questions and I didn't really understand eufi or whatever.. Anybody willing to help I'd greatly appreciate it..
