unable to install or update packages

hi,

i am new for linux, i have installed ubuntu 10.10 unable to install or updat ubuntu, please find below mentioned error which i am getting.

root@ubuntu:~# apt-get install mysql-server

E: Unable to locate package mysql-serve

You have installed a version the has reached EOL and no longer supported. Install "Precise 12.04"
