gtkpod crashing

Hey guys, I have an ipod nano 5g and when i connect my ipod and start gtkpod, it says "Extended info will not be used." Then, if I select my ipod it just crashes. Also, if i select Edit > Preferences it also crashes. Please help, thanks.

The respitory is broken in 12.04 Ubuntu. It will just keep doing the same thing, I don't think you can do anything about it. Is that the version you're using? (Ubuntu 12.04)? If anything, try downloading iTunes and running it with Wine. Back when I used to use iDevices that is what I did. Try: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2028977
