I downloaded Virtual Box and Ubuntu i386 (64bit shows kernel not supported & it mention that my host only has i686).
My Sony Vaio S13 laptop specs are: Windows 7 64bit/8Gb ram/Switchable graphic Intel HD 4000+Nvidia 640m

I encountered a problem after I clicked "Try Ubuntu".

It will first show an error "The application Compiz has closed unexpectedly" so i clicked relaunch but the screen will then hang at the orange/red wallpaper screen and will not load to the desktop which shows icons like firefox etc..

I left it loading for 2 hours but the screen is still empty in the orange/red ubuntu wallpaper & tried reinstalling but nothing works. Anyone knows a fix for this? Thanks
