I have an old Dell WinXP laptop at work that has Encryption Plus HD installed. The laptop crashed and I wanted to put Lubuntu on it. Before attempting to install Lubuntu I used Gparted to look at the HD partitions and check the disk for errors (no errors detected). I formatted the entire 40GB disk to EXT4 but after formatting, there is still 647MB of disk space being used. If I reboot the computer Encryption Plus is still there, but says there is no operating system which is correct because I reformatted. But if I formatted the disk then why is Encryption Plus still there? And how can I get rid of it?
I reformatted twice and I got the same result both times. I assume the 647MB of used space is Encryption Plus still on the partition...
